What are they and how to use them.

Australian Bush Flower Essences are based on the concept that "disease is the physical manifestation of emotional imbalances." (White 1991 pg 6)

They assist us by balancing our energies and enabling us to deal with life in a more focused way. Flower essences are a vibrational essence, that is they work on our vibrational energies and help us to replace negative emotions such as fear or hatred, with positive energies such as courage and love. They are gentle enough to use on children and animals and I have done just that.

Since my children were babies they have been using flower essences. I would see a grumpy, argumentative toddler turn into a compassionate, helpful toddler within hours. Even now as teenagers, they are still using the essences to help balance their lives and keep them moving forward in a positive way. Although there has been time they have not used them and I notice the difference. Unbalanced teenagers are grumpy, unmotivated and argumentative.

I do not select the essences for anyone, rather they use my deck of cards to intuitively select their own essences that I then put into a blend for them. There are also very useful blends that can be purchased directly such as emergency essence for panic, distress and fear; dynamis essence for temporary loss of drive, enthusiasm and excitement and the one I used the most on my kids, calm and clear for always over committed, no time for self, impatient, rushing and worry. I used this when the kids were in a state of over-excitement, a quick spray and they always calmed down.

Flower essences come in drops, oral spray and spray mist. Recently the Love system has been released and consists of beautiful moisturisers, facial scrubs etc. combined with the flower essence blends. I use the daily woman moisturiser. It is a luxurious feel moisturiser that smells divine and makes me feel amazing. Woman essence is for mood swings, weary and physical dislike so I like to make a ritual of putting it on where I make sure that I am present in the moment, looking in the mirror and allowing myself to appreciate me :)
