Hawaiian Lomi Lomi is "...the loving touch. A connection of the heart, hand, and soul with the source of all life." Auntie Margaret Machado

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage uses rhythmic, dance-like movements that flow up and down the body encouraging blood and lymph flow. The improved circulation of the blood brings oxygen to the muscles and organs and promotes energy and overall improves general health and well-being. The lymph circulation is important to help remove toxins that is collected by our lymph glands. The removal of these toxins from our body is important for our immune system as when our lymph is overloaded it can become sluggish and will have difficulty removing the waste.

Apart from the therapeutic benefits, Lomi Lomi works on clearing and energising our body's energy centres. The therapist works as a healer by connecting to the Divine to share beautiful healing energy to the client. This energy clears and balances chakras and auras. It can help remove negative and emotional blockages as well as relieving muscle tension. Clients always leave in a relaxed, peaceful state.

The therapist always works with a calm, centred, peaceful state setting an intention before beginning the massage. Traditionally breath is sacred to Hawaiians, it brings energy and flow to nourish your body and as such the therapist focuses on heart breath, sending love to the client from beginning to end. Before the client enters the studio the therapist is connecting and creating a positive energy in the space.

"Lomi lomi is an ancient Hawaiian concept of working with the mana (life force) of the body, mind, and soul of an individual." by Maka'ala Yates, D.C.
